Your wedding guests are waiting at your ceremony
venue, as the Prelude welcomes them. Your husband-to-be,
best man and his groomsmen are also waiting at the
altar together with your celebrant or minister.
You arrive late (traditionally) at the ceremony venue,
to a paparazzi style welcoming, as some of your guests
snap photos of you and your bridal party.
And then, one of the greatest moments of your life
begins, as you hook your arm around your father (or
a selected person that will 'give you away'), and
step onto the red carpet.
You walk down the aisle, as the band, choir, chosen
CD, quartet or soloist plays a Processional. You are
preceded by your bridal party and meet the male members
of the bridal party at the end of the aisle.
Your celebrant
or minister will then commence the service that you
have designed in the preceding months. Vows are exchanged,
poetry is read, and you are soon pronounced 'husband
and wife'.
You will sign a legal 'marriage registry' to officiate
your bond together, as your selected entertainment
plays music in the background. After the signing,
you will then leave the ceremony venue as 'husband
and wife' as the band, choir, soloist, or quartet
plays a Recessional.
After your ceremony, you will join your bridal party
and family for photos, after you meander through the
throng of ecstatic wedding
guests. The period between your ceremony and reception
is the time when the bulk of your photos will be taken.
You will leave in the same transport that you arrived
in and go to one or a number of locations that will
proved a scenic backdrop for your wedding photos.
You may find it difficult to keep smiling for the
entire duration of your wedding photo shoot, so maybe
practice some facial exercises prior to your wedding
day.
