There is a vast selection of wedding
photographers and videographers available, some
imaging businesses offer both photography and videography
services, whilst others specialise in either digital,
SLR (analog) imaging or both.
Your job will be to determine which photographer
/ videographer is right for your wedding day. Try
to get a feel for the types of photos or portraiture
being offered, look at album samples, find out if
the photographer you meet with will be the person
taking the pictures on your wedding day.
Find out if the photographer will be using digital
or analog, and ask to see samples of each. Ask whether
the photographer has any package deals, and whether
negatives are available to keep (for analog only).
Ask how long after your wedding it will be before
your album is completed.
Most importantly, make sure you get along well with
your chosen photographer or videographer,
since they will be with you through the most stressful
and fun parts of your wedding day.
Remember that the photographs and video you will
ultimately receive, will be a combination of both
you and your partners characters, the theme and spirit
of your wedding day, and the character and style of
your chosen photographer and videographer.
As we have entered the post-secular age, many wedding
couples have opted for a Marriage
Celebrant to perform the rites and legalities,
as well as the exchanging of vows.
Celebrants offer varying services, from fully customised
and creative ceremonies, through to standard more
traditional ceremonies. Remember that the exchanging
of your marriage vows should reflect both your personal
beliefs, as well as your creativity, style and flair.
Once again, try to select a marriage celebrant that
fits you and your partner's character and personality.
If you are having a destination wedding, find out
if your Celebrant will travel. Also, check that the
celebrant has their own PA system and if music is
provided. Find out if you can provide your own music,
and be sure to check the format, eg. CD Audio, MP3,
DVD.
Your selected marriage Celebrant should also be able
to meet and work with you through the initial preparatory
stages of planning your ceremony, and be willing to
offer advice whilst tailoring a ceremony to your requirements.
Flowers are a poignant part of any wedding ceremony
and reception. They are designed to stir both emotion
and harmony among your guests, whilst contrasting
or matching your wedding attire, characters and theme
of your wedding day.
When choosing your floral
arranger, determine if they have had experience
at arranging flowers for weddings, and whether they
can create bouquets,
corsages, and boutonnieres. Also, find out how
long they have been in business, and whether they
have any references or album samples. Ask about their
payment terms.
Find out what flowers will be available at the time
of year you are getting married, and whether the price
will vary if stocks are low. If you are having a destination
wedding, find out what flowers will be available in
that region, or if your florists can transport flowers
from an alternate destination and what the additional
costs will be.
If you specifically want flowers to match your birthstone
or jewellery, find out once again if those flowers
will be available at the time of year you are getting
married.
